Meet Jennifer Pilcher, Ph.D., CMC, and ALCA New England Chapter Past-President

March 27, 2023   |   Board/Committee Member Spotlight

Where do you practice, Jennifer?

I practice in Greater Boston, the North Shore, the South Shore, and MetroWest in Massachusetts as well as Hudson, Essex, Dutchess and Westchester Counties in New York.

How long have you been an ALCA member?

I have been a member since 2005.  I first began getting involved with committees in 2007 when I joined the “Publications Committee” that managed both the Journal of Geriatric Care Management (at the time) and Inside ALCA. And that is where it all began!

Tell us about your experience as a Board/Committee member?

I love being part of the Board of ALCA-NE.  For the last 10 years, I have had a variety of roles both on the Board and on Committees including: Secretary, Vice President, President and now Past-President. My favorite work has been time spend on the Conference Committee as the members are always so engaged and excited about what we can offer to the members each year. Being on the Board has allowed me to build relationships and friendships with many of my New England Colleagues who I would not have otherwise had a chance to work and collaborate with. It is invaluable to me for personal growth as an individual and to the growth of my organization.

What do you do in your free time?

I have three kids and two dogs that keep me very busy!  I also love walking outside, yoga and reading a book whenever I can find the time. I escape to Vermont or the Cape whenever possible for relaxation and downtime.
