Meet Pamela Rodman, LCSW, and new ALCA New England Chapter Member
August 20, 2024 | New Member Spotlight
Where do you practice, Pamela?
My office is in Westport, CT. I’m licensed in CT and NY.
What led you to the profession of Aging Life Care?
From my previous work in Assisted Living at Atria West 86 in Manhattan and as the Director of Senior Programming at Central Queens Y in Queens, NY, I met many care managers and providers who were essential to older adults and their adult children, who all needed support. Even in my work at Silver Hill Hospital in New Canaan, there were times when a care manager was a key piece to the adults’ aftercare plan. All the providers I worked with were part of the ALCA organization!
Do you have an area of expertise or specialty?
I’m a licensed therapist. I’m trained in grief and loss, life transitions, anxiety, depression, and substance use and trauma. I’m also a Life Coach.
Tell us something you enjoy doing in your free time?
Now that I’m in private practice, I hope to return to golfing. I also love theatre, music, and traveling.
