Meet Debra Allen, RN, BSN, CCM and ALCA New England Chapter Committee Member

Where do you practice, Debra?
I am a Life Care Program Manager at Berkshire Law Group in Berkshire, Massachusetts. My role is unique, as I am not a solo practitioner but work with clients and their families who are clients of our law firm. All our clients fill out a questionnaire and there is a section that asks about any medical issues or concerns. Our two lawyers will discuss the Life Care Program during the initial meeting based on the responses of the questionnaire.
How long have you been an ALCA member?
I joined ALCA in December 2020 at the suggestion of our firm to network with other professionals. The first person that I met was Sarah Bourque who outreached to me from the membership committee. She was so warm and welcoming to me that first year. I had outreached to her several times with questions as she was the one person I “knew”. It truly was this experience that led me to join the membership committee in 2021, as I wanted to be able to provide that same support to other new members.
Tell us about your experience as a Board/Committee member of ALCA-NE:
It’s a small but great group of women. We all come from different backgrounds with different experiences enabling us to bring a variety of ideas to share with each other. We are very supportive of each other and anyone of us will willingly help each other out when needed.
What do you do in your free time?
I love walking, hiking, and snowshoeing in the beautiful Berkshires with my husband and our two-year-old red fox lab. I love to travel and explore new places. No one ever goes hungry when they visit me as I love to entertain, cook, and bake for my family and friends.
