Meet Katie Krupka, MS, CMC and new ALCA New England Chapter Member

January 14, 2024   |   New Member Spotlight

Where do you practice, Katie?

I practice in Western Massachusetts.

What led you to the profession of Aging Life Care?

Growing up, my mother was a Resident Service Coordinator in Section 8 Senior Housing. I would often go with her to work, and I loved being with the residents and hearing their stories. After graduating with my bachelor’s degree, I began working in an affordable assisted living community, creating relationships with the residents and their families. My passion drove me to earn a master’s degree in Gerontology from the University of Massachusetts Boston. I found the senior care landscape confusing and overwhelming, so I wanted to understand it so I can help other navigate it. I have a desire to be a resource and advocate in the community for older people and their families. I have been working as a Care Manager with TUCKed In Eldercare for over 3 years and am honored to provide our clients with cohesive, knowledgeable solutions and support.

Do you have an area of expertise or specialty?

Care Plans, LTC Policy Reviews, placement, advocacy, education

Tell us something you enjoy doing in your free time?

I enjoy spending time with my husband and two sons (9, 7). We love to visit with family and friends, travel, see live music, ski, camp, etc.
