As we embrace the start of 2024, I am filled with anticipation and enthusiasm for my inaugural year serving as President of the New England Chapter. It’s a time of fresh beginnings, and together, we will navigate the exciting journey that lies ahead. Recently, our new board convened at our strategic retreat, dedicating time to meticulously craft our aspirations for the year. Our focus remains steadfast: to support our members and enrich your practices with tangible value.
The terrain of long-term care is ever-evolving, and as professionals, we face the challenge of innovating in the face of scarce resources for an expanding older adult demographic. Our commitment to creativity in client support is unwavering. Those of you who joined the 2023 Chapter Conference witnessed firsthand ALCA’s dedication to delivering top-tier educational programs and fostering a community for peer connections—essential tools for our field. Our vision for 2024 is to propel this momentum forward, offering CEU opportunities not only within New England but also through synergies with the National organization and other chapters. Such collaborations promise a richer array of programs and guest speakers. Moreover, we aim to weave in engaging and fun networking events and collaborative gatherings to strengthen our chapter community throughout the year.
While our all-volunteer board is energetically brainstorming and strategizing, your insights are invaluable to us. We’re committed to amplifying our social media outreach, spotlighting the impactful work you do. Share your triumphs with us; our communications team is eager to celebrate and publicize your successes.
