Meet Celeste Ricci Trahan, LICSW, CMC and ALCA New England Chapter Member Since 1999

January 31, 2024   |   Special Spotlight

Where do you practice, Celeste?

The Seacoast of New Hampshire, Southern New Hampshire, Merrimack Valley and the North Shore of Massachusetts.

Tell us about your involvement and experience with ALCA.

I have been a member of ALCA since 1999.  I served on the New England Board for several years, and co-chaired the education committee during that time as well. I also served on the New England Chapter Conference committee.

What led you to the profession of Aging Life Care?

I began my career as a Medical Social Worker in the field of long term care; then hospital, home care and Hospice. It seemed to be a natural evolution into becoming an Aging Life Care Professional.

What resources or services do you frequently recommend to your clients to help them navigate the aging process more effectively?

I often collaborate with Elder Law attorneys and geriatric psychiatrists to frame a path for the elder and their families; as well as a great deal of reassurance and support along the way from myself.

What is one piece of advice you can offer to those new to Aging Life Care?

Become involved in your Chapter!  Getting to know others in the field, learning from them is vital in your growth as a Care Manager.

Tell us something you enjoy doing in your free time:

I enjoy gardening, reading, watching football and upcycling/painting vintage furniture.  Spending time with my family and cats Bella and Mieu fits in there too!
