Meet Rhiannon Stare, RN, CMC and ALCA New England Chapter Board Member

March 14, 2024   |   Board/Committee Member Spotlight

Where do you practice, Rhiannon?

My office is in Newburyport MA, servicing the North Shore, Merrimack Valley, Southern New Hampshire and Seacoast.

How long have you been an ALCA member, and when did you first get involved in committee work?

I have been an ALCA member since 2018 and I first got involved in committee work last year when I joined the Board and Membership Committee.

What is your area of practice and/or specialization:

Over the last 5 ½ years, I have dedicated my care management efforts predominantly with the older adult population and individuals facing challenges related to mental health and addiction. My commitment to enhancing well-being led me to acquire certification as a Cannabis Health Coach. With pride, I integrate this expertise into my toolkit, aiming to empower this population to discover relief and achieve an improved quality of life through a comprehensive and holistic approach.  I am currently accepting appointments for plant medicine consultations for older adults.

Tell us about your experience as a Board/Committee member of ALCA-NE.

Having been a member of the Membership Committee last year, I had the opportunity to forge meaningful connections with fellow care managers. This experience not only deepened my ties within the committee but also enabled me to connect with both new and existing members of ALCA. It has proven to be an invaluable avenue for networking and building relationships with care managers across New England. I am thrilled to announce that this year, I have the honor of serving as Co-Chair of the Membership Committee alongside Daniela Masters!

What do you do in your free time?

I dedicate a significant portion of my time to cheering on my two teenage children at various sporting events. Embracing the outdoors, I find enjoyment in activities such as walking, hiking and biking and love to travel whenever given the opportunity.  A consistent yoga practice serves as my sanctuary, providing a regular means to recharge and alleviate stress.
